See Your Business the Way a CFO Does — Free Live Training for Business Owners

Most owners run their business from the bank balance. A CFO runs it from the numbers underneath. In this free live session, you will learn the five numbers a CFO watches every month, how to read your cash flow before it surprises you, and how to spot the leaks hiding in your books — in plain English, on real statements, with time for your questions.

Why this, why now

Clean Books Are the Floor. Decisions Need a CFO's Read.

Bookkeeping tells you what already happened. It does not tell you what to do next. Owners who grow profitably share one habit: they can read their own numbers, and they check the right ones every month.

Bookkeeping alone

  • Records the past — what came in, what went out
  • Decisions still get made from the bank balance
  • Prices copied from competitors, never tested against your true costs
  • Cash shortages arrive as surprises, mid-payroll
  • Tax season becomes an annual emergency

The CFO's read

  • Reads what the numbers mean — margins, break-even, cash conversion
  • Pricing, hiring, and spending decisions made on evidence
  • Leaks found while they are still small enough to fix
  • Cash planned weeks ahead, not discovered on Friday
  • Taxes managed all year — structure, records, rhythm

This training teaches the second column. It is the same discipline our firm applies with business owners every week, taught live so you can ask about your own situation as we go.

What we cover

Sixty minutes, live. Four working segments and one exercise.

1

Know Your Numbers — the Dashboard

The five numbers every owner must read monthly: gross margin, operating margin, cash conversion, break-even point, and owner pay vs. profit. What each one tells you, and the three questions a profit & loss statement actually answers.

2

Cash Flow Before Profit

Why profitable owners still run short on cash — and the simple cash-flow calendar that shows what is coming in, what is going out, and when, before a tight week surprises you.

3

Systems Over Heroics

Every business runs on four flows — leads, sales, delivery, cash — and each flow has a characteristic leak. Includes a short live exercise: map one recurring task out of your head and into a system someone else can run.

4

The Tax Posture of an Owner

Structure, records, and a quarterly rhythm: how owners stop treating taxes as an annual emergency. General education drawn from real practice — not personal advice, and no loophole talk.

Who this training is for

Built for owners who run the business — and the books.

Your host

Rafael Rodriguez, Jr., MBA

Founder, Triumph Business and Tax Solutions LLC and the Total Source Network

Rafael founded Triumph to give business owners one point of contact for the financial side of their companies — bookkeeping, tax preparation and planning, and advisory — through the Total Source Network of companies. He teaches the way he works with clients: plainly, practically, and from the operator's chair, as an owner who has made payroll decisions with his own money on the line.

One point of precision, because precision matters in this profession: Rafael is an MBA and a founder, not a CPA. Triumph Solutions is MBA-led with a licensed CPA on staff — the credential line the firm stands behind on every page.

The questions owners actually ask

Nothing. The training is free — 60 minutes, live on Zoom, every Wednesday at 2:00 PM Eastern. Register below and the join link is emailed to you before the session.

Business owners who run the business and carry the financial decisions — especially owners whose books are handled but whose numbers are never really read. Home-services and contractor owners are a large part of our practice, but the material applies to any owner-run business. If you already have a finance team reading your statements with you monthly, you are past what this session covers.

The training is a complete session on its own: the five numbers, the cash-flow calendar, and the systems exercise are yours to use whether or not you ever work with us. In the last few minutes, Rafael introduces two optional ways owners get help applying it — the Triumph Financial Fast Track bundle ($17) and the Year-End Ready Review ($265). Both are optional, both are described with their prices stated plainly, and neither is required to get full value from the hour.

Register anyway. The session runs every Wednesday at 2:00 PM Eastern, and registrants receive the follow-up email with the session details — come to the next one live if you can, since the live session is where you can ask your questions. Your registration keeps you on the list either way.

No. The training is general educational information about how owners read and run their numbers. It is not personal tax or financial advice for your specific situation, and it does not replace a qualified professional who knows your facts. Education is what lets you ask better questions of the professionals who do advise you.
